NARO top page		 *** Our institute was reorganized in April, 2001 ***
The former National Agriculture Research Center, to which our research unit belonged, was reorganized in April, 2001 so that it is somehow "independent" of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF). Our unit was renamed as below, though no change happened in the staff and facilities.
